Quick Tips to Internet Millions with Articles

By: Don James

Are you trying earn a living online? Writing articles can be one of the best ways to promote your online business. Here are some quick tips for writing and submitting your own articles.

Tip#1: Article Length

When choosing an article for your website or distribution, make sure that its length is optimal for search engine optimization. Articles that are as short as 300 words or as long as 700 words should fit into this category. Even if search engine optimization is not your goal, it is still a good idea to keep your articles at this length for your reader's sake. They are not likely to finish your page if it is any longer. This could leave them with only half of the information you wanted them to have or leave them with the impression that your site is just plain too 'wordy'.

Most people online do not want to read a website page as they would a book, so the shorter the better - even if this means splitting one long idea into 4 or 5 pages. Be sure to label each section so that the reader can pick and choose which part they want to read or so they know what is coming up next.

Tip#2: Placing Affiliate Links

How your affiliate links are positioned on your article can really make a difference on how many potential clicks you end up getting. This is very important since every click could mean a potential sale.

Research has shown that the most effective affiliate links are text links - not big flashy banner ads like most affiliate websites are cluttered with. Your article and your link have to work effectively together to drive interested readers to your site. A bad article and an unrelated link to an unknown product are just going to confuse your potential customers and simply drive them away.

If at all possible be sure that the link text is the same as your own site - the search engines will be able to cross reference the link to the title properly.

Tip#3: Keyword Density

Keyword density and placement are important parts of optimizing your articles for search engines. Search engine spiders scan a page in a way that makes it important to place your keywords where they will be detected and recognized as a keyword, so that your article will come up when someone searches for that keyword.

A keyword is a word that is going to be placed in your article several times, not just once as that would make every word a keyword. When a spider sees that you have a word placed several times in an article, it will determine that your page may be useful to users that search for such a keyword.

Keyword density is how many times your keyword is placed in your article. Most use a percentage to determine how many times they will put a keyword in an article. For instance, if you have a 500 word article and want to achieve a keyword density of 5%, then you will need to have the keyword in your article exactly 25 times. You can find hundreds of resources and guides recommending one keyword density over another and the reasons behind the logic, however, in the end you will have to determine which density is more profitable for your articles.

No matter what exact density you choose, it is important to place keywords so that there are more at the beginning and end to produce an hour glass effect. Having the right keyword density in your article makes it more likely that you will make money off of that article because it will rise in the search engine results and be seen by more people.

Articles are probably the best way today to drive traffic and grow your own product or affiliate business to internet millions!

Some tips on Article Marketing.

Article Marketing - What the Experts Will Not Tell You

By: Joshua Spaulding

The reason so many webmasters fail at article marketing is because they do not know the key points to the strategy. If you are writing with no proven direction then you are just wasting your time. It is imperative that you follow these proven steps if you want to start succeeding in your article marketing campaign.

- Providing your viewers with valuable information is essential. But alone it will not pave the way to article marketing success. Valuable information must be implemented by a personalized, eye-catching writing style. If you are not doing this then you are most likely losing loads of valuable clicks to your signature block.

- Create an eye-catching title. It is a proven fact that the title of your article is what makes it sell. There are so many webmasters simply wasting their time by creating a quality article only for it to sit in place and collect dust because of poor title writing. I find that using your keyword in the first three words of the title provides the best results.

- Take time when creating the signature block because this is the time to sell yourself and your product. Second to poor title creation, poor signature block writing is sure to point your viewers in other directions. When you write the signature block do not just place your name and the URL to your web site. You need to convince your viewers that they need to click on that link or they are missing out on something big.

- Now that you have created an eye-catching article with a signature block that tells your viewers they better click or they will miss out; you need to find places to submit it to. Many people believe that mass distribution is the way to go. What they do not know is that laziness does not pay off. Search engines do not like to find the same content over hundreds of sites; most being low ranking. What they do like to find is the same content on five or six high quality sites. This says that the content is worthy of high search engine placement. Find the top five or six article directories and submit to them only.

Bear all of the mentioned ideas in mind and your article marketing campaign will prove to be very profitable in the future. A solid article marketing campaign can take time but if you stick to it, you will see incredible results.

Improve your article visibility.

A strange thing happened to me today. I wrote an article a few days ago about affiliate programmes and resources and what not, and I put (what I thought was) a relevant title on it. It said what the article was about, simple and straight forward. I went back to check on how things were doing with it and noticed it had only been downloaded 4 times in just under a week. I wasn't satisfied with this so I decided to change the title to see if that would get it more readers. I changed it to be more flashy and catchy, still relevant to the content, but certainly more grabbing. Then just now, about an hour after it was rereleased on the site, I saw it had already got 15 downloads!! In an hour!! That's just crazy.

So the lesson I learned from this is that if your target audience is article site readers and not people looking through search engine listings, then the title is absolutely KEY.

Don't steer your site into the rocks.

hi all,
I just tried out Web-stats and I think I'm in love. First off its dirt cheap, only 5$ a month. Second you get a 30 day free trial. And third it's got literally everything you could ask for. It's basically a program that tracks the traffic to your site. It gives details as to where the visitor is coming from, how long they stay, what they click on, what part of the world they're coming from and God knows what else. It's giving me so much more insight into how people are dealing with my page its ridiculous! The way I see it if you're trying to run a site like a business but you don't have this program you're basically navigating a ship without a compass or a map, plus you're blindfolded... and deaf. It's absolutely fantastic, and best of all they have a pretty decent affiliate program you can sign up for. But don't take my word for it, just start the free trial, it's really easy to set up and so worth it.

Weekend Warriors.

It seems that my page impressions drop dramatically during the weekend. Its almost as if my readers comes primarily from office workers trying to kill time during their shift. Come weekend they want nothing to do with me. *wimper*
Oh well. I'll be back a bit later with a whole bunch of stuff on article marketing so check back later today.

Article marketing

Hi all,
I wanted to talk a little about article marketing today. We all know everything there is to know about affiliate links, getting them, how they work, what you need to know, etc etc. Right?
So now all we need is a good way to get those links out there and get a few clicks on them. But how are we gonna do that? Well, we could pay for it. Adwords is a great tool for driving traffic to any site, and Bidvertisers (check out the button at the bottom of the page) is even offering $20 of free advertising. But if you read any of the literature on affiliate marketing (like Project X, or The Rich Jerk) you'll see that most people respond a whole lot better to a pre-sell than just being sent cold to the vendors sales page. What that means for you is that you can either create a squeeze page and pay for adwords traffic, create a website where you give reviews of the products you're selling, or you can just write articles.
With article marketing you have the chance to generate a whole bunch of free traffic to your links, and if you do it right all that traffic will already have a positive image of your product. Simple as pie right? more or less. All you need to do is learn how to write a good article.
Both Project X and The Rich Jerk go over writing sales letters and article marketing, but neither of them really reveals anything new. They talk about getting ideas from successful affiliates, playing on peoples fears, failures, and frustrations, but they don't really go beyond that. They say to play on peoples fear of being scammed, create a sense of urgency, and offer incentives (like discounts or bonuses). These are all good ideas and you shouldn't disregard them, but I want to go further.
So for the next few days here I'll be going over what I know about persuasion techniques and how to apply them to article marketing. I could be selling this information for a lot of money (and if anyone reading this wants to try and take these ideas and make an ebook out of them go ahead, just let me know how much you make from it) but I'd rather just give it away and watch my friends get wealthy.

So my next post will be about using a person's fear of regret in article marketing.

Adsense Arbitrage.

FROM WIKIPEDIA: In economics, arbitrage is the practice of taking advantage of a price differential between two or more markets: a combination of matching deals are struck that capitalize upon the imbalance, the profit being the difference between the market prices. When used by academics, an arbitrage is a transaction that involves no negative cash flow at any probabilistic or temporal state and a positive cash flow in at least one state; in simple terms, a risk-free profit. A person who engages in arbitrage is called an arbitrageur. The term is mainly applied to trading in financial instruments, such as bonds, stocks, derivatives and currencies. If the market prices do not allow for profitable arbitrage, the prices are said to constitute an arbitrage equilibrium or arbitrage free market. An arbitrage equilibrium is a precondition for a general economic equilibrium. Statistical arbitrage is an imbalance in expected values. A casino has a statistical arbitrage in almost every game of chance that it offers.

There's a new book out by Michael Plante that tells exactly how to do Adsense arbitrage. Looks pretty good, I'd hop on the band wagon pretty soon if I were you.
